Speaker: Dr. Jim Chesnutt
Jim Chesnutt, MD is a board -certified specialist in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine who practices Sports Medicine at Rebound Orthopedics and Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) Family Medicine. Jim was the Founding Medical Director of the OHSU Sports Medicine Program, starting at OHSU in 1995. He is currently the Medical Director of the OHSU march wellness & fitness center and the OHSU Concussion Program. He is an Associate Professor, and faculty in the Departments of Orthopeadics & Rehabilitation, Neurology and Family Medicine.
He has been a Team Physician for 20+ years for high school, university and professional sports. He serves as Co-Director of the Oregon Concussion Awareness and Management Program (OCAMP), is a member of the Oregon Governor’s Task Force on Traumatic Brain Injury, and is a member of the Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA) Medical Aspects of Sports Committee that governs Oregon high school sports.Dr. Chesnutt is involved in concussion research, education and community outreach programs for concussion and contributes to numerous concussion publications.
