Rebecca Simones

Rebecca Simones is an educator with a profound belief in the transformative power of education. She holds the firm conviction that education serves as the cornerstone for individual growth and has dedicated the past seven years to creating inclusive and equitable classrooms for students with diverse backgrounds and needs. Rebecca's teaching journey began with Teach for America, an organization whose commitment to educational equity resonated deeply with her own ideals. Over the years, Rebecca has consistently strived to foster safe spaces and equitable education within the classroom for all students.

Rebecca Simones holds a master’s degree in history from Grand Canyon University, Phoenix, AZ, earned in 2019, and a master's degree in Christian Studies with an emphasis on Christian Leadership, obtained in 2017. Her educational journey also includes a bachelor's degree in history from Guilford College, Greensboro, NC, with minors in Education Studies and Medieval/Early Modern Studies, conferred in 2016.

In addition to her academic background, Rebecca brings valuable hands-on experience working with youth impacted by traumatic brain injury (TBI). This unique perspective, coupled with her personal lived experience with TBI, positions her as an asset to the CBIRT team.
